Review: Paula's Choice Conditioner
I've been looking for a conditioner to replace Pureology for literally years. Pureology does amazing things to my hair but it 1. smells weird and 2. is ridiculously expensive. My latest attempt has been Paula's Choice. I loved her skincare line, especially the moisturizer which is really light, and has sunscreen but doesn't dry out my skin. So when I had to order some more moisturizer, I decided to get the conditioner to qualify for free shipping as well.Well, I wasn't as happy.
First of all, even though it says unscented, it still kind of smells and feels like sunscreen. I've been using it for about three weeks. The first week it left my hair feeling dry and crunchy. The second and third week it wasn't as bad, but still not great. The formula is very light, probably better for someone with thin hair.
Also (and I know that you aren't supposed to do this anyway, but some of us live busy lives) do NOT brush your hair when it is wet using this conditioner. It makes a terrible sound and makes the hair extra tangled. The price is more than drugstore brands, and I feel like it did a worse job than some of those.
Overall, I would not recommend this product if you have straight, dry hair, and if you have another kind of hair, I would proceed with caution.
